Welcome to Not Your Mother’s voice teacher. We’re three friends and voice teachers who want to shine a light on the importance of contemporary singing and are tired of commercial music taking a backseat to classical music in academia. We’re here to discuss what no one else wants to talk about when it comes to voice education in America. Some will call us crazy, but our mission is to pull back the curtain on contemporary singing and showcase its approachability, sustainability, and viability.
Today we'll discuss why we're here. We want people to know there is a space for CCM music in academia, and beyond! Savy, Tess and Kate start sharing their personal stories of navigating classical, and ccm singing as young singers and how it's effected them as teachers.
