About this listen

America is complicated, so this show breaks it down to the basics with a fresh, urban view. Join Rich Valdés, nicknamed “our liberty-loving Latino amigo” by “The Great One” Mark Levin as he tackles news & pop culture with wit, humor, and a dash of sofrito.

Rich Valdés is a nationally-ranked, globally recognized talk show host and commentator seen and heard across cable news, television, talk radio, and major conferences, bringing a distinct American-Hispanic perspective to today’s biggest issues in society and culture. He was nationally syndicated by Cumulus Media's Westwood One in 2022, taking over the legendary late-night timeslot pioneered by Larry King and Jim Bohannon before expanding his syndication to Roku TV in 2026. He started his broadcasting career in New York City on 77 WABC Radio in 2018. Named to Talkers Magazine’s “100 Most Important Radio Talk Show Hosts in America” for 2023, 2024, and 2025, he climbed from the lower half of the list to number 38 out of 100, reflecting his rapid rise in national influence.

Valdés has been a producer and regular substitute guest-host on the Mark Levin Show, where he was known on-air as “Richie V, Mr. Call Screener.” He previously served in New Jersey Governor Chris Christie’s administration and later became Director of Operations at Project Veritas, deepening his experience at the intersection of media, politics, and activism.

A proud American of Puerto Rican heritage, Valdés is a Gen-Xer born in Brooklyn, NY, who spent his teen years in Hudson County, NJ. At 16, while still in high school, he turned a haircutting hobby in his dad’s apartment into a full barbershop business, reflecting the entrepreneurial grit that shapes his worldview.

Valdés is also a co-founder of a charter school and has served as a school board member, underscoring his commitment to education and opportunity. • Comey's Arrest? Charles' Visit, Children on Screens
    Apr 29 2026

Then, King Charles made his first visit to the White House. While this is his first visit as monarch, it is not the first by a British royal, as King Edward VII (as prince) visited in 1860, and Queen Elizabeth II visited in 2007. Plus, Rich teases a new study on screen viewing and children's brains that he will discuss tomorrow night.
