  • S1E1: Day of the Dead (1985)
    Mar 8 2025
Series 1: A 1985 Retrospective Series 1 of the Retrograde Media podcast showcases the films of 1985! Happy 40th birthday to all who celebrate along with these films and one of your hosts! 🥳🥂 Day of the Dead is George Romero's third entry into his original trilogy. For one of us on the podcast, it's a first time watch so please join us while we experience Bub, Capt. Rhodes, and the rest of the cast. As far as how Day of the Dead represents 1985, I'll say this: George Romero was always progressive with his characters and it shows here just as much as it showed at the ending of Night of the Living Dead. So perhaps this is an oddity of the 80's, or maybe just as much a redefection of today as it was back then?
