About this listen
Susan Smith gets a parole hearing Nov. 20th now that she's served 30 years for drowning her toddlers Michael and Alex in a lake in Union, South Carolina. She rolled her car into that lake with the boys strapped in their car seats. Cynthia Barnes Booker was the first journalist to speak with Smith, and we worked together. We look back on the case and her early doubts about Smith's claims of a car-jacking.
