  • Our Lady Peace & Crash Karma original guitarist Live with Renostate Rocks! Mike Turner Interview!!
    Dec 4 2025

A rare Diamond status album alumn, our very special guest today has swam in the waters and sailed among some of the most successful rock artists to ever come out of this country. Leaving the band officially in 2001, he went on to have continued success with Crash Karma, the Canadian supergroup featuring Jeff Burrows from The Tea Party, Edwin from I Mother Earth, and Amir Epstein from the infectiously groovy indie Toronto band Zygote (one of my personal favourites), and now at the helm of Flying Squirrel Motorcycles in Toronto. He’s opened for Jimmy Page and Robert Plant, toured with Van Halen, he’s won multiple music awards with multiple bands, he’s even been a Hologram, AS IF we get to chat with one of the most individualistically styled guitarists, a recent Canada Walk of Fame Inductee, please enjoy our interview with Mike Turner!#MikeTurner #olp #ourladypeace #crashkarma #jeffburrows #edwin #amirepstein #zygote #rainemaida #jeremytaggart #guitargod #guitar #crashkarma #flyingsquirrel #flyingsquirrelmotorcycles #motorcycles #torontomotorcycle

Anderson. Additionally, there will be special guests such as Terry Brown (Rush's producer) and Hugh Syme (Rush's art director). The event will also feature stunningly-accurate tribute bands like 2112 and Permanent Waves, and the RUSHfest Canada Allstars Bands. There will also be an auction to raise even more funds. • A Famous Rock Journalist Joins The Renostate Rocks Podcast...Again! Alan Cross!! Season 3 Premiere!!
    Sep 30 2024

We sit down and discuss his incredible podcast, #oasis and the #oasisreunion, #nirvana, #ticketmaster, and more!

The incredible Alan Cross has amassed decades of journalistic music experiences, eclipsed only by his extremely deep knowledge of over 100 years of recorded music from the inside out. The Ongoing History of New Music is widely acclaimed as one of the best music series that's ever existed and you certainly could not grow up in Southern Ontario without knowing the iconic voice and creator behind it. "The Science of Song, How and Why we Make Music" is a fabulous book our guest also authored, and his interviews with just about every iconic musician and band that has ever existed sets him apart from nearly all other journalists in the genre. Currently coming off a set of Salon Talks, he is recharged and ready to keep diving into his newest Podcast: Uncharted, Crime and Mayhem in the Music Industry. Please allow us to be so lucky to welcome BACK to the show, our very FIRST guest in Season 1: Alan Cross!!
