About this listen
In this episode I’ll be sharing a story that was read by Martin Shaw and is available on YouTube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8YI8TTkT8dI&t=2s
The Name, of the story is The Hunter & the Fox Woman
In this episode I am sharing a story that is told by Martin Shaw. Martin Shaw is a teacher of myth and the author of the award-winning Mythteller trilogy (A Branch from the Lightning Tree, Snowy Tower, and Scatterlings) He has introduced thousands of people to mythology and how it penetrates modern life.
For twenty years has been a wilderness rites of passage guide, working with at-risk youth, those who are unwell, returning veterans as well as many women and men seeking a deeper life.
Why I like this video: Beautifully illustrates the power of being your true self, never abandoning any part of who you are and the recalling of the feminine spirit.
There is a longing within humanity to bring the essence of femininity and women forward.
Two things mentioned:
The hunter stood lonely in his whole body for the scent of the fox woman. Somewhere in history we’ve done that. Somewhere in history we’ve exiled the fox woman.
I believe we HAVE done that. Woman have been suppressed and men have dominated over women for centuries but I also believe that there is a massive shift happening. Martin Shaw is an exquisite story teller and one can’t help but get caught up in his stories as if you were living them yourself.
