About this listen
We are continuing our series of interviews highlighting some of our Oklahoma State Legislators and the work, advocacy, policy collaboration, and/or learning they are doing for Oklahomans with disabilities!
This week, we welcome (newly former Representative) Forrest Bennett!
Forrest Bennett represented Oklahoma State House District 92 for 9 years. He was intentional about bridging relationships and working across the aisle to achieve passing legislation and initiatives that helped and served Oklahomans who live in poverty (as many of his constituents lived below the poverty line), advocated for workers and better working conditions, supported initiatives for people living with disabilities, and gave his all for the many groups and demographics he served. He is now serving as the newly elected President of Oklahoma AFL-CIO!
Forrest shares with us his journey to the legislature, bills and initiatives he was a part of and passed, the legacy he hopes to leave from his time in the legislature, and so much more!
You don’t want to miss this series!
