  • Summary

  • Growing up Melissa was no stranger to the self doubt that so many girls feel everyday! She felt invisible and lacking a safe space to confidently be herself. This feeling took her to hard places that she hopes no girl ever has to reach. However, this journey helped her find her purpose…teaching!

Through 23 years of teaching, Melissa took her experiences and her passion for girls and launched The Girls Positivity Club!
Once a small group of girls from her class, The Girls Positivity Club is now a global movement partnering with parents and their daughters to embrace who they are and learn how to stay positive amidst life's biggest challenges.

  • Understanding Your Daughter's Inner Doubts
    May 28 2024

Welcome back to another episode of the Raising Confident Girls podcast! Today, we're diving into a topic that not only affects our girls, but can be crucial for anyone in a growth phase or trying something new. We're talking about inner doubts and the secret fear that “something is wrong with us” if things don't go our way or if we don't excel immediately.

In this episode, we'll explore how these fears and thoughts might impact our girls and how we can support them every step of the way. We'll show them that these fears are not as big as they seem and provide them with the best coping skills to process these thoughts the next time they arise.

    Tune in for more on:

    • Creating a safe and open space for communication about these fears.
    • Reassuring and providing the best affirmations for the girls in your life.
    • Tools you can use to offer different perspectives.
    • Checking in with our girls and noticing changes in their behavior to know when to bring up these conversations.

The most important part is letting our girls know that we support them 100% and are here beside them every step of the way. Whether as a person to talk to or someone to lean on, being available for our girls in any way they need is essential!

If you enjoyed this episode, don’t forget to rate, review and share it with a friend or parent who might benefit from hearing it too!
