About this listen

When the world was plunged into lockdowns in March 2020, nobody expected one of the defining moments of the pandemic to be global protests for racial justice and equality, sparked by the murder of George Floyd by police officers in America. We’re joined by two creators of colour - Madeline (@madelinemawusi) and Mehek (@mehek.mp4) - to explore the events of that time, how racism has impacted them, and what the challenges and anxieties their communities faced being among the worst impacted by Covid-19.

Produced by Milky Films and Redwood Studios

Host: Andrea Lucia Peters (@crispylucia)

Producer: Kaushik Bhattacharya

Producer, Sound Mixer and designer: Jamie-Lisa Jacquemin (@justjayli)
