Rachel Shalita est née et a grandi en Israël dans les années 50. Elle a puisé dans ses souvenirs personnels pour écrire son troisième roman : « Leurs mots à eux », l’histoire d’une enfant élevée en hébreu, qui se retrouve démunie face à la langue inconnue que parlent ses parents : le yiddish. Rachel nous raconte sa langue à elle, l’hébreu, qui a remplacé celle de ses parents.
