About this listen

Celtic fans of a certain age discuss all things Celtic, where the only xG that is discussed is expected Guinness.

Trying to capture the vibe of the post-match discussion among mates over a pint.

Suitable for Tims of a certain vintage.

After last week's pod title unfortunately turned out to be bang on the money we revisited the question of the goalkeeper.

After an absolute shocker of a week on the park we moved away from our usual format and basically had a moan-in for half of the episode. The keeper, the defence, the midfield and the forward line all get a bit of a shoeing as does the manager.

There is concern about the upcoming games, and we discuss what we think should happen if the results don't go our way. It's not a particularly upbeat episode

It was also a big week off the park, and Paul gives a first-hand account of the recent meeting between the Steering Group and the board. It doesn't lift the mood of the pod too much in fairness.

We head overseas for this week's RGC, as there really was no obvious candidate after an absolutely shocking week.

As always, thanks for your support. We really appreciate each and every listener, and if you have a hospitality box, offer it to someone else.

Quite the week where Celtic appear to have forgotten that Scotland and Glasgow in particular has a problem with heart disease. The two games, Livi and Killie placed enormous strain on the hearts of our pod's target demographic but all's well that ends well.

We look back on both games and it's quite cheery in the main. Mind you there is then some discussion about players in the squad that potentially could let us down in the run in. (The episode title is a clue to one of them).

There's a look forward to this week's games and a call for some pragmatism ahead of the Stuttgart game if this week doesn't go our way.

There's some discussion about the upcoming meeting between the board and the Collective steering group as Paul will be one of the people in the room this week.

There's a film review and the host gets accused of being a grass.

A packed programme and no mistake

  • It's a big week
    Feb 9 2026

A week of big games not just for Celtic but our "baw tickling" rivals too.

We chat about Saturday's Great Escape, the return of The Free Broomloan and this week's league games against Livi and Killie. With our main rivals facing potentially tough games, it could be a pivotal week.

Mind you, we do emphasise that it's up to us to take care of our business.

There's a bit of reflection on the boycott and the possibility of a meeting between the board and the collective. It's fair to say we are all hoping for positive news on that front.

There's an RGC Award for the "Unknown Editor" and a Peruvian bear* comes in for some well-deserved abuse
