Many of us grow up with certain ideas about what life is supposed to look like. Perhaps we're told to get a good education, land a secure job, build a comfortable life, and settle into what we call "the American dream." There's nothing inherently wrong with education or financial stability, but what happens when we discover that God's agenda for our lives might be radically different from the cultural script we've been handed? The question we must wrestle with is simple yet profound: If something matters deeply to God, shouldn't it matter deeply to us?
