About this listen

12-year-old Celina Mays was born in the midst of her parents' toxic relationship. Their substance-addled union ended, and Celina stayed with her mother while her father moved in with his sister Cerita, a local pastor. After the tragic death of her mother, Celina was forced to move in with her father and his family, whom she barely knew. She was thrust into a world of strict religion, spending most of her free time at her aunt's church or with its members.

Things appeared to be normal, until a 12-year-old Celina goes missing 2 weeks before she was set to give birth. Police are stumped as to what happened to her or who the father of her child is. Their leads run cold, until they start looking into Cerita and the church she and the family spent so much time at. After someone in the family was found guilty of a separate crime, a swarm of suspicion surrounded Celina's family. Soon, people realized this well-known, religious family seemed much darker than anybody ever expected.
