About this listen
John E. Harmon, Sr., IOM, is a prominent figure in New Jersey's business and civic landscape. He is the Founder, President, and CEO of the African American Chamber of Commerce of New Jersey (AACCNJ), an organization he established in 2007 to advocate for and support Black-owned businesses and African American communities across the state. Under his leadership, the AACCNJ has become the only accredited African American chamber in the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Federation and the sole accredited chamber in New Jersey, placing it among the top 3% of chambers nationwide.
Before founding the AACCNJ, Harmon served as President and CEO of the Metropolitan Trenton African American Chamber of Commerce (MTAACC), where he significantly expanded membership and forged strategic alliances with both public and private sector entities.
