  • Police Officer Vincent J. Adolfo was shot and killed in Iron Alley, while he was attempting to arrest a man who had fled from a stolen vehicle. Police Officer Vincent Adolfo, his killer should have been behind bars instead of the streets.

    When Police Officer Adolfo caught up to the suspect in the Alley, the man pretended to give up. When Police Officer Vincent Adolfo approached him the suspect drew a .357 caliber handgun and opened fire, striking him in the chest and back. At the time the Baltimore Police Department issued vests that only contained a front panel.

    The suspect was convicted and executed for the murder in 1997.

    Police Officer Vincent J. Adolfo had served with the Baltimore City Police Department for two years. He was survived by his wife.
