 Hier im Wald wohnen zwei beste Freunde, zwei ungewöhnliche Freunde: ein Eichhörnchen und eine Schwalbe. Das sind Pino und Lela. Es ist noch früh am Morgen. Lela schlummert gemütlich in ihrem Nest, als Pino am Ast des Baumes rüttelt, um sie aufzuwecken. „Was ist denn?“, murmelt Lela verwirrt und öffnet kurz ihre müden Augen. „Lela", sagt Pino, „es ist etwas Schlimmes passiert, eine echte Katastrophe! Ich weiß nicht mehr, wo ich meine Nussvorräte vergraben habe! Die ganze Nacht konnte ich nicht schlafen!“
