Named for her own mother's legacy, Project Marilyn is a non-profit created by Wendi Schweigart, that focuses on helping ensure women from every walk of life, have access to the period products they need.
They produce various "period kits" to help women get through their menstrual cycles without any embarrassment or stigma attached, to help end period poverty in America.
Wendi speaks with Dana about how she got started, why it matters so much, and what she is doing to try and eliminate the unwarranted "taboo" mentality that surrounds the subject.
