The Penn State football recruiting efforts are now in high gear after months of lying dormant without a coach. As a result, we’ll have a full-on BWI Live Recruiting Show today, discussing the latest commitments, available players left to help salvage the 2026 class, and looking ahead to 2027 recruiting efforts, which start in earnest next month. Join reporters Ryan Snyder and Sean Fitz as they discuss the important names in the recruiting efforts under Matt Campbell during his first month on the job.

Iowa State recruiting flips

We’ll start today’s show discussing the Iowa State recruiting flips from last weekend as a group. What did Snyder and Fitz think of the players that Penn State gained from Iowa State’s previous class? How do they fit into the locker room and roster? Snyder has spoken with coaches and players and will share his highlights to start today’s show.

Of course, the team still has just six commits for this cycle. Can they find at least enough players to equal roughly half of a recruiting cycle? We’ll discuss the uncommitted players left that the team may target in this next phase, which culminates on the traditional signing day in February. Plus, we’ll review the prospects from Michigan that make sense for Penn State to target.

Beyond the Class of 2026 prospects Penn State is trying to salvage, the team has been aggressive this week with its offers for the Class of 2027.
