She discusses her journey of growing up in Namibia to ending up at the Johns Hopkins Medical center for her fellowship training. She also discusses how she received the role to be the EMS Medical Director and Medical Advisor for the hit Emmy winning series called “The Pitt” on HBO Max starring Noah Wyle.
She also discusses the history of how Emergency Medical Services first started in Pittsburg, PA by the The Freedom House Ambulance Service. This was a predominantly Black group founded by the civil rights organization Freedom House Enterprises.
