About this listen
Opinion on the Teen Stabbing at Memorial High School.
Karmelo Anthony, 17, was charged with murder in the fatal stabbing of 17-year-old Austin Metcalf during an April 2 track meet in the Dallas suburb of Frisco.
According to witnesses, the altercation began around 10 a.m. at Kuykendall Stadium after the accused Karmelo Anthony, a student at Centennial High School in Frisco, entered the Memorial High School team tent while it was raining. Metcalf told Anthony to move out from under the team's tent. The two then argued. Anthony warned Metcalf not to touch him, as he reached in his bag. When Metcalf grabbed him, in an attempt to physically remove him from the tent, Anthony stabbed Metcalf once in the chest, with a black knife he retrieved from the bag, before fleeing.
