• What's Going on for Pauly's Pickems in 2025
    Jul 8 2025

I talk about the history of Pauly's Pickems and past winners for the NCAA and NFL portions. Also, I talk about something new I am trying for the upcoming season as far as bonus points. And I end with talking about podcasters I have talked with over the years such as Shannon Smith, Ryan Frick, Desmond Johnson, and many more.

Hoping to see a few more women play the Pickems. Tell your wives, girlfriends, sisters, mothers, to come on over, because I literally have just 2 women playing as of now!

  • Talking UFL Football & a Promo at the end
    Jul 1 2025

So I talk about UFL Fantasy and UFL Pickems, and the reason I haven't done a podcast. Two young kids is not conducive to making a podcast, but that is besides the point. I mention that Brad Betts won the UFL Pickems for the 2nd time in 3 years and that Gregory Kennos won the inaugural UFL Pauly's Pickems Fantasy League.

I might pick up podcasting again in the future when my young boys get a little bit older, but for the time being, I am happy at where I am. Hope you all enjoy the episode

  • Pauly's headed to the Playoffs in both Leagues!
    Dec 11 2024

So we start the episode with the college football portion, and Jeff Kersey picked ALL games correct AND the risk reward for 210 points, so he chose the risk/reward for the first round of the playoffs as which of the 8 teams playing has the most rushing yards. No Bonehead this week though from Shane.

In the NFL portion of the show, Derek limps into the playoffs in the ESPN league suffering his 3rd straight loss to finish 10-4 overall. And Derek also wins his 2nd in a row in the Sleeper leauge to clinch the final playoff spot at 7 -7. Dan Herron had the highest point total for week 14 and let his son, Sam choose the risk/reward for week 15 as which team has the most 1st down conversions between Detroit, Jacksonville, and Tennessee. I also express my disdain for those who play in a fantasy football league and quit early on. Hope you enjoy!

  • Pauly was perfect in his NFL Pickems as well as in the Sleeper League
    Dec 4 2024

I didn't watch much college other than the Georgia Tech-Georgia game and some of the Tennessee-Vanderbilt game. But boy, Melanie finished off the regular season with the highest score of the week and chose a good risk/reward heading into the conference championships week.

I drop 2 straight in my ESPN Fantasy League, but I am still in 2nd place at 10-3. I went 16 for 16 and got the risk/reward as far as NFL Pickems go for myself and Nick and Adam's league. I also won in the Sleeper League to improve to 6-7, 2nd overall in my division, so not horrible. I can't complain, going 16-10 in both leagues isn't bad, it averages out to 8-5 in both leagues. Hope you enjoy the episode!

  • Had the guys from "CFB in NC" on for the episode!
    Nov 20 2024

So for this episode, I had both Nick Mason and Adam Creason from their podcast/project "CFB in NC" where they preview/recap all 14 FBS/FCS colleges here in the "Old North State". If you like what you hear regarding their show here on Pauly's Pickems, head on over, and show them some love on their podcast!

I did not mention how everyone did this past week, or say who had the Bonehead Award, but if you are curious on how that went, head on over to the Facebook page to catch up. Hope you enjoy the episode!

  • You're feeling pretty good if you have Ja'Marr Chase on your Fantasy roster
    Nov 13 2024

So I recapped what happened in the NCAA and NFL this week. Technically Tyler had the highest score in the NCAA and NFL this week, but I mistakenly gave the NCAA to Adam. Tyler was a good sport about it so we will roll with it.

And as you can see in the title of the podcast, Ja'Marr Chase went off for over 55 points, and was one of the reasons I lost by over 100 points in the Sleeper League to fall to 4-6, but I am 9-1 in the ESPN league. Hope you all enjoy the episode!

  • Dropping names in the podcast, like I'm dropping in the Sleeper Fantasy League
    Nov 6 2024

So I'm doing decent in both of my Pickems, exceptional in the ESPN Fantasy League, but not so good in Pauly's Probables, or the Sleeper Fantasy League. I was able to watch some college football this past weekend, and talked about it in the show. Not so much with the NFL, but that's ok, I kept up with the scores.

I ended up dropping a lot of names in this podcast and I am not sponsored by them, nor am I getting any kickbacks...just trying to help steer some traffic their way. Names include: Ryan Frick and Bill Tomer of the Tapouts and Touchdowns podcast; Desmond Johnson, the main producer of Tobacco Road Sports Radio; Nick Mason and Adam Creason of their newest podcast they started this year CFB in NC; Michael Davis, the CEO of Boom Broadcasting and host of Outta Pocket with Michael Davis, and Shannon Smith with his podcast Quick Hits on Boom Broadcasting as well.

Hope you all enjoy this episode!

  • Finally get a win in the Sleeper Fantasy app; my college picks however...
    Oct 23 2024

Well I mention that Tyler Hutton won the NCAA Pickems this past week, an Brad Betts won the NFL Pickems this past week, and both gentlemen chose pretty good risk rewards.

I shortened the NFL portion of the podcast considerably by not mentioning who scored what on the starting lineup and bench for each individual. Instead I mention why you don't draft a kicker in the early rounds. The individual that chose a kicker (Justin Tucker) is only averaging better than Jaylen Warren, who by the way is no longer on anyone's roster.

I end the podcast mentioning that Adam won the previous week's Pauly's Probables and chose individual that they think will either meet or not meet their projections. Hope you enjoy the episode.
