About this listen

This week Andrew talks with stand-up comedian, author, & podcast host Paul Ollinger. Paul joined Facebook as the company’s 250th employee — and retired at 42 years old only to realize that he was “bored, lonely, & driving his wife crazy”. Post-Facebook, Paul launched his stand-up comedy career that he had long dreamed of. In just a few years, Paul has already headlined at the legendary Caroline’s on Broadway in New York City, opened for the rock band Styx, & earned a finalist spot at the Boston Comedy Festival. In this conversation, Paul shares a behind-the-scenes look at many of his biggest career decisions, what it was like working at Facebook in the early days, how he develops his stand-up comedy material, & so much more.
