Drea takes us to a fantasy land where all different kinds of professions that could exist if reality would allow it. These professions are all well-paid, full of benefits, and takes care of any financial needs you may have. This eventually turns into a really large commercial building to house all of the different professions that the group comes up with. Tina wants on-site daycare so she can do yarn things in peace. Meg wants someone to inspect her hanks for knots before she winds them. Jess suggests a needle repair place, like a cobbler. Meg suggests a pattern librarian (Drea mentions a Fiber Archivist) who can maintain patterns and provide recommendations based on the types of patterns you like.

Learn all about how we meld our ideas into something absolutely out of this world that could never exist in real life unless we make friends with some very friendly investors during this imaginative episode! :D

Meg leads our episode today discussing "propaganda we will not be buying" when it comes to fiber arts. Coming off a popular social media trend, the cast brings up certain ideas that seem to be set in stone with some of the community. Some ideas we are not buying that blocking is always necessary, nice yarn is only meant for special projects, handmade gifts are always appreciated, and much more! See what you can relate to this episode, and let us know about "propaganda" you are not buying.

Jess starts the episode about the crazy weather changes and not having the desire to knit with cotton during the summer even though it's popular to do so. Meg brings up her mohair sweater, and the discussion turns to making and wearing sweaters in general. This delves into having time to knit but dealing with different kinds of fatigue issues like choice or physical types. Jess talks about getting distracted by cinematic video game playthroughs when they try to knit. Tina realizes she might finish her beanie during the episode recording, and everyone else talks about what they have or have not finished this year. They briefly go over motivation to do so and how difficult it has been with lack of time on everyone's schedules. Tina talks about dealing with chronic illness/pain, free time, and motivation to work on knitting never seeming to coincide.

Honesty abounds during this episode, so grab your favorite drink and/or snack, a project if you are feeling it, and hang out with us as we get through.
