O livro de Tiago foi escrito com um objetivo bem claro em mente: ensinar aos cristãos primitivos que o cristianismo não era uma religião teórica ou baseada em misticismo puro. Tiago escreveu para chacoalhar aqueles cristãos, alertando que o verdadeiro cristão é alguém que vive aquilo que acredita, e é coerente com aquilo que Jesus lhe ensina em sua palavra. Foi Tiago que escreveu que a Fé sem obras é morta e, se encaminhando para o fim de sua carta, nos brinda com outro alerta sensacional. Lá no capítulo 4, verso 17, ele diz assim: "Aquele, pois, que sabe fazer o bem e não o faz, comete pecado". Hoje nós vamos falar um pouco sobre isso.
