About this listen

 Ben Davis has a chat to Christopher Kirkley about his label Sahel Sounds, that specialises in music from the Southern Sahara. He started it ten years ago after a prolonged trip through Mauritians, Mali and Niger and has built up a roster of field recordings and artists that range from desert blues, synthwave, and garage afro to rock and electronics. They talk touring in Europe, visas, labelling music, Bluetooth distribution, film making and all things Sahel Sounds.
