This week I speak to Mark Latham a prodigious writer in many forms. We spoke back in episode 147 about his Games Workshop past and about his rules writing and development. In this show we talk mostly about his novel writing and his work writing fiction. He has a new book coming out, the first in a trilogy, next Tuesday 24th of June, so we talk about that and also some general nuts and bolts about narrative creation. This week I speak to Troy who runs the awesome Sonic Sledgehammer Studio Youtube channel. Troy is a first timer here on PATM so we do the deep dive into his backstory and spend some time pecking in parts that jumped out during the chat. I deeply enjoy Troy’s work on his channel, I think what he tries to achieve is fantastic along with his attitude, mentality, and outlook towards our hobby. He is a great personality and the hobby is richer because of people like him being in it.

This week I speak to Forrest Harris of Knuckleduster Miniatures. Forrest is just a brilliant human being first and foremost, but he is also the owner/operator of Knuckleduster. Knuckleduster make Gunfighters Ball and Gunfight Royale, both Wild West themed tabletop games, but you can also buy STL’s of and also physical versions of many Wild West themed minis. This week I speak to Andy Hobday. Andy has had a variety of roles in a variety of companies and it gives him a great breadth of experience that he brings to bear in the differing roles he has had within the hobby industry.

He currently writes rules sets for Wargames Atlantic, along with Warhost as part of his Hobday and Hicks effort. In this episode we talk about his work with Wargames Atlantic mostly, you can go back to episode 41 and 114, to hear more about Andy’s personal journey and his previous work.

This week I speak to Will Rahman-daultrey the writer of Forbidden Psalm and The Last War, amongst other things. Wont spoil any of the natural chat that occurs but what I will say is that the richness of Will’s own life, his perspective, his experiences, and his mentality has leaked all over his rule sets! From my view anyway. I think he has written games that, when you listen to his ethos and spirit really echo the essence of life in some ways.

There is a charming mentality in them, a paradoxical allegory of what our journey in life is like, mentally if not physically….or maybe I am talking nonsense, I dunno, you decide I guess. But I do want to extend a massive PATM thank you to Will for coming on the show and I will be moidering him incessantly until he is back on the show.

From working in a GW store, to Editorial, to White Dwarf, to writing his own games such as Test of Honour, 0200hrs, and most recently Guards of Traitors Toll.
