    May 9 2025
Sometimes there are just not enough words to say THANK YOU! This Mother’s Day, PRAISE 106.5 and Walton Beverage want to share a heartfelt thank you to all the precious mamas in our lives. Whether its your mom, grandma, a mother figure, or spiritual mama…she has probably wiped countless tears from your eyes and helped you become the person God has called you to be. Moms are incredibly selfless and loving individuals who deserve to be celebrated!

Here is what was shared about our grand prize winner: My story is actually about my Mother in law. When it comes to mother in laws she is the best you could dream of. She truly is just like a mother to me and such a blessing. Last year I was really sick after having a miscarriage and then getting pregnant again I had the worst morning sickness to the point it was really hard to keep up with my house and my kids and keeping up with all the work My mother in law was always so sweet and thoughtful and would take loads of my laundry and do them for me and bring me dinners every week and even picked up my older kids so that I could rest. And the thing is she is always this
thoughtful and kind. I can confide in her when I’m struggling with parenting, we go out and have the best hangouts and she always has the best wisdom and loving answers for me. I’m married to her son, but she treats me like a daughter and more and I truly feel like apart of the family with how much she loves me. I’ve gained a second mom and she is the best. I can’t thank God enough for putting her into my life and my kids life because she truly blesses any area she step into I’m blessed to call her my mom thank you mom for loving me like one of your own!

This special mama will be receiving a Dyson vacuum, shopping card, and nail certificate thanks to Walton Beverage.

Brant highlights the importance of faithfully tending to the responsibilities and relationships God has placed directly in our lives—what he describes as "tending the garden you're given." Don't be swayed by the noise of outside pressures or the expectations others may try to place on us, as these distractions can cause us to overlook the people and tasks God has specifically entrusted to our care. With a spirit of trust and simplicity, focus on what’s right in front of us. Honoring these everyday callings is both meaningful and pleasing to God.

  • Brant & Sherri on How Jesus Confronts Us But He Doesn't Leave Us There
    Apr 22 2025
    Brant:
It's kind of weird in church culture or Christianity or whatever you want to call it. A lot of times we'll talk about anything but Jesus; like everything else but Him, which is really odd. I mean, He's the reason I'm a believer. And same thing with Sherri. So we thought, Hey, let's highlight some Jesus stuff rather than just talk politics or whatever. Maybe talk about Him. So we were thinking about the top two or three things we put on our list for just Jesus moments. We really love from the gospels. So what would you put on there?

    Sherri:
I'd put on, there's a man who is crippled and he's at a pool and an angel comes down and heals everyone at a certain time. And he's never gotten healed. He's been there for decades. And Jesus walks past his mat where he's laying, and Jesus asked him, "Do you want to be made whole?" And that is one of my favorite moments with Jesus, is the fact that He's willing to confront me, and heal me. Both. He's willing to confront the things in me that have kept me from moving forward, and He's willing to heal me.

    Brant:
So the confrontation is him even asking the question, do what you I mean?

    Sherri:
Yes. Where He's like, "Do you want to be made whole?" There's an implication there that there's some stuff going on in your life that hasn't gotten you to this pool where everyone else seems to be able to get to. Because He asked the guy, "Do you want to be made whole?" And the guy's like, well, every time I try to get in and then no one will put me. So He's willing to confront me in my excuses, but He doesn't leave me there. He heals me.

  • Brant on Being Broken But Repentant
    Apr 17 2025
Brant explores the concept of brokenness and humility in the context of church culture, emphasizing that while many people describe themselves as broken, true transformation requires repentance and rethinking one's life in light of this brokenness. Simply acknowledging brokenness without seeking change can lead to pride rather than humility.

Click PLAY as Brant illustrates this using the story when Jesus asks a man if he wants to be healed.
