We’re starting Week 1 (Gagana Samoa) of Talanoa Ako with two educators who know our rangatahi well: Pauai Afele from Manurewa High in Auckland and Malo Sepuloni from Mangere East School in Auckland.
This first Talanoa focuses on helping everyone get back into the school routine. Whether your child is starting school, moving up a year, or beginning at a new school, the first weeks can be a big adjustment.
We discuss practical things parents can do at home, such as setting simple routines, taking time to listen, and keeping expectations realistic so our kids feel supported, settled, and ready for the year ahead.
