Jared McCain looks like he has found his rhythm, and Paul George was solid in his return to help the Sixers to a 115-103 win over the Nets -- but they lost Andre Drummond to a knee injury in the second quarter. McCain finished with 20 points off the bench, including four made 3s, while looking more and more comfortable on both ends of the floor -- also swiping five steals on the defensive end. George netted 14 in 21-plus minutes of play in just his fourth game of the season. But unfortunately, Drummond had to be helped to the locker room in a wheelchair and did not return to the game because of a knee sprain. Tyrese Maxey had a near triple-double with 22 points, nine rebounds and seven assists. The 76ers will host Jalen Johnson and the Atlanta Hawks on Sunday evening.

Tyrese Maxey and the Philadelphia 76ers were run out of the gym in a 144-103 embarrassing loss to the Orlando Magic. Anthony Black scored 20 of his career-high 31 points in the second quarter, guiding the Magic to a 51-point quarter to blow the game open after a 35-35 tie at the end of the first. Already without Joel Embiid, Paul George, VJ Edgecombe and Kelly Oubre Jr., the Sixers were dealt another blow -- losing Trendon Watford in the first half due to a left adductor strain. Jared McCain dropped 15 points off the bench, showing signs of the player 76ers fans were excited to see this season. Philadelphia is now 0-3 in NBA Cup Group Play.

The Heat were in control for the majority of the game, led by Norm Powell's game-high 32, plus double-doubles from Kel'el Ware (20, 16 boards) and Bam Adebayo (18, 13 boards) as Miami improves to 11-6, while Philadelphia drops to 9-7 on the season. Tyrese Maxey goes off for a new career-high 54 points as the Sixers escape Milwaukee with a 123-114 overtime road win over the Bucks. Maxey hits his fourth career 50-point game with an efficient (18-30 FG, 6-15 3FG, 12-14 FT) night to go with nine assists and five rebounds to guide the 76ers to an improved 9-6 record on the season. Paul George played his best game of the season, totaling 21 points in just under 25 minutes -- setting the tone by scoring the first 11 of the night for Philadelphia. Quentin Grimes added 14, VJ Edgecombe chipped in 12 in the win. Ryan Rollins led the Bucks with 32.

Turnovers and the third quarter woes were too much to overcome for Tyrese Maxey, Sixers in a 121-112 loss to the Raptors. Philadelphia committed 21 turnovers that led to 31 points for Toronto -- plus, the 76ers dropped the third 44-26. Maxey and the Sixers fought back in the fourth but ultimately fell short, pushing their record to 8-6 on the season. Maxey led all scorers with 24 points and handed out a game-high nine assists. VJ Edgecombe and Quentin Grimes added 21 each, while Andre Drummond collected his 5th straight double-double. The Raptors posted six players in double-figures with Brandon Ingram and RJ Barrett leading the way with 21 apiece. Philadelphia will travel to face the Milwaukee Bucks on Thursday night for the second leg of their back-to-back.
