Overcoming the world starts by having faith in who Jesus is, what He said, and what He did for you. Only once you fully grasp what Jesus did for you on the cross, will you truly be able to overcome the world. We overcome the world when we stop being a slave to sin. We overcome the world when we stop being a slave to fear. We overcome the world, especially, when we stop caring what other people think about us. So often, we allow the fear of man and the fear of what people think about us hold us back from God’s purpose for our lives. Overcoming the world means getting rid of that fear and having faith in God. When you let go of your worry, fear, and sin, and really believe that Jesus took it all for you on the cross, you will truly begin to overcome the world and you will truly begin to walk in God’s purpose for your life.
