Taking it back to our Christmas special from 2024, we kick off the show by discussing some of our favourite aspects of the 2000 Christmas classic, How The Grinch Stole Christmas, including the most rewatchable scenes, hottest takes, how the film has aged, and more (5:30). Then, after easily winning the first edition of our Movie Stock Market, Mike's winning prize was the honour of choosing our next Rewatchables movie. In true Mike fashion, he chose none other than Kathryn Bigelow's 1995 film Strange Days (12:04)!

We finally made it!

This initiative is aimed at filmmakers, crews, and production that work in London, Ontario and gives them a chance to bring their final cut to the big screen! The project launches on December 4th, 2025, but we're giving you a sneak preview into the qualifications, how to apply, and more!

You chose, and we watched! From all the audience suggestions you sent in, two films were selected (at random) for Elijah and Mike to watch: Jacques Demy’s The Umbrellas of Cherbourg for Elijah, and Paul Thomas Anderson’s Phantom Thread for Mike.

Elijah and Mike start with some recent film news, including Tom Cruise receiving an Honorary Oscar and the upcoming Labubu movie (0:50). Then, they dive into their assigned audience picks: Elijah and Mike unpack Demy’s iconic 1964 musical, which left Elijah impressed but not entirely fulfilled (14:14). Next, Mike's views on Phantom Thread are put on full display; and he certainly does not hold back (32:30)
