My name is Lauren Mendelsohn and I was diagnosed with epilepsy in 2020. I am the host of Our Strength Within. Over the course of this podcast I’d like to bring you along on this journey. I want to bring comfort to those going through something similar, share awareness about epilepsy and other invisible illnesses and shed light on the stresses brought to caregivers.
In this episode, I chat with Charlie, who was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes when he was 5. He shares a little about his diagnosis and common misconceptions people have. We'll have Charlie back soon to talk about some of the other challenges he's been through in his life.
