Om Namah Shivaya is Shiva's Panchakshara Mantra, the five-syllable mantra. It is also known as Shiva Mahamantra. Shiva literally means auspicious, benevolent. Shiva is also the cosmic dancer Nataraj, the meditator, the renunciant, and more.
