About this listen
Join CC and Joseph as they catch up with Justin Maurer, lead singer for powerpop band Jenny and the American Sign Language interpreter for Oscar winning actor Troy Kotsur. Join the three of them as they chat about Justin's experience as a CODA (Child of Deaf Adults), and his work advocating for the Deaf community, interpreting for Troy Kotsur at the Oscars and playing in punk rock bands all through the 2000's.
Justin is also a published author, screenplay writer and is a producer on a Deaf-led team for the feature length documentary Live At The Deaf Club - about the unlikely partnership between San Francisco’s Deaf community and punk community from 1978-1979.
