About this listen

This week, On The Record with Randy Beamer, we talk with Randy Neumann, Chair of the Steering Committee for Scenic Loop-Helotes Creek Alliance, the group fighting homebuilder Lennar’s plans to dump wastewater into a pristine hill country creek. While the TCEQ this week ruled in favor of Lennar’s wastewater permit, Neumann explains why the fight is not over.

Next, Pct, 3 County Commissioner Grant Moody joins Randy to talk about the elections department’s readiness for the November 4th election, and also the county’s involvement on the proposed “South Beach” project on the grounds of Ft. Sam Houston.

Then we visit with Chris Maitre, CEO of the Brackenridge Park Conservancy, to get an update on the new park plans and the overall park renovations.

On Reporter’s Roundtable, Express-News Staff Writer Megan Rodriguez discusses her article on how the city plans to fight back against Governor Abbott’s order to remove the rainbow sidewalk downtown.
