About this listen

Description:

Looking back, this was an amazing conversation! MuyMuy opens up about his “why” in film — giving his community an authentic voice. One that both celebrates and critiques the standards that come with being Filipino. He pulls inspiration from a variety of sources, but all have the shared notion of culturally important films. We shared multiple commonalities: Filipino identity and the passion for using our voices in the media. Near the end, we discuss the notion of absent-minded privilege, or the lack of understanding one's own privilege and tying it back into MuyMuy’s creative process.

Thank you so much for listening and growing your mind with me. ♥️
