About this listen

Music and Muse is a show where I share thoughts about life and daily living. It’s a space for anything and everything at all! Matthew 5:16 says to let your light shine, and I believe this is one way I get to do that. I talk about things I’ve been through, what I’ve learned, and I recommend music that’s encouraged me along the way. Sometimes I have guests join the conversation too. Overall - it’s honest, sometimes a little deep, some laughs and definitely full of light. I’m really glad you’re here! This will bless you, promise. • EP 15 - On Criticism...
    Oct 11 2025

It’s been a minute since our last sit-down, but I’m back with some gist for you!

I’m thinking of criticism and I thought to share my reflections with you (as usual)…

In this episode, I share a story about my son, a random comment from a stranger, and so on (I guess you’ll have to listen to find out right?)

I’m wondering, why does negative words tend to stick morethan affirmations? and how important it is to know who you are - deeply and truly - so no random “needle” can burst your balloon.

This is for anyone who’s ever replayed a careless comment intheir head or started doubting themselves because of someone else’s words.Let’s unpack why criticism hits so hard, when to actually listen to it, and when to throw it in the trash.

Stay with me, laugh with me, and hopefully walk away with areminder that your worth is not up for debate.

I’d love to hear your thoughts — whether you agree, disagree, or have more light to share.

  • EP 14 - Two Are Better Than One! Until They’re Not...
    Aug 2 2025

This is one of those episodes that might get on your nerves so proceed with caution...

This one is for everyone who’s married or hoping to be. Youknow that scripture we love to quote at weddings — “Two are better than one”?Well… what happens when both of you fall?

In this episode of Music and Muse, I’m reflecting on what it truly means to help one another in marriage — not justemotionally, but spiritually. Because sometimes the real help isn't in taking your spouse's side, but in standing on the Lord’s side. I share real moments from my own marriage, where grace showed up through truth, and love looked like correction — not coddling.

If you're single, married, or in a serious relationship, this one’s for you. Let’s talk about the kind of love that confronts gently, the kind that helps each other grow into Christ, and the kind that doesn’t just support your emotions, but supports your eternity.

And yes don’t forget the music. The song for this episode is“It’s All About You Jesus” by Paul Oakley because in the end, it really is.

I’d love to hear your thoughts — whether you agree, disagree, or have more light to share. Drop a comment, leave a review, and share this episode with someone who needs it.

  • EP 13 - Where Are Your Fingerprints?
    Jul 12 2025

This week’s episode is a deeply personal one.

It’s been 7 years since my older sister passed on to be withthe Lord, and about 2 weeks ago I sat through another funeral that made me pause. I found myself asking: What will truly matter when our time here is done?

I guess that’s why scripture says, “It’s better to go to the house of mourning than to the house of feasting.” (Ecclesiastes 7:2)

In this episode, I’m sharing some raw thoughts on realimpact, not just the kind that trends, not the kind that’s showy, but the kind that stays and follows through. The kind that leaves fingerprints on people’s hearts. The kind that helps someone heal, grow, and become.

Seven years after my sister passed, her life and impactare still so obviously felt. Everywhere I look, I see a life she touched.I’m literally living in the advantage of some of the ‘deaths’ she died, sacrificesshe made just to make sure I got it right. And it’s not just me, countlesslives!

And then I sat in that funeral and heard stories of someonewho consistently sought the best for others, taking care of people even while she was ill, and living a life that simply overflowed with love without necessarily getting any credits for it!

It made me realize again how easy it is to be visible these days, but not truly involved.

Let’s talk about what it means to get your hands dirty, towalk with people through process, to be remembered not just for your platform, but for your presence.

I’d love to hear what this stirs in you, especially if you have a different view, or deeper insights. Please leave a comment, a review, and share if it resonates.
