About this listen

The path to success is much like any other path in life - it’s non-linear. We take steps forward, but then stumble backwards. However, it’s how we recover from those stumbles that reveals who we truly are. Before founding Girls on the Run, a non-profit organization that serves young women through physical activity, and receiving the Point of Light award from President Barack Obama, Molly Barker faced a rebound of her own. Struggling with alcohol addiction, Molly faced challenges that would have tested even the strongest people. However, her resiliency in finding sobriety not only allowed her to get control of her affliction, but also find a way to impact the lives of millions of young women. Molly Barker joins host Matt Doherty on today’s episode of The Rebound to talk about overcoming alcohol abuse, what leads to the situation and how to live life with those experiences. Molly also talks to Matt about Girls on the Run, and how she went from an initial class of 13 to having served more than 2.5 million young women to date.
