About this listen

Good morning. Missouri. I'm Aaron Jolly. Step outside right now and you're feeling 57 degrees of early March warmth. Enjoy it while you can. Because a cold front's barreling in tonight. And it's bringing severe weather with it. Western Missouri gets the first taste. Thunderstorms roll through between 5 A.M. and 11 A.M., peaking around 8 A.M. You'll climb to 73 degrees this afternoon under partly cloudy skies. South winds gust to 32 miles an hour. Round two arrives after 11 P.M. Tonight, dropping temps to 42 degrees. Eastern Missouri wakes up mild at 56 degrees. You're the warm spot today — hitting 78 degrees this afternoon. South winds gust to 28 miles an hour. The severe threat arrives late tonight, between 11 P.M. and 5 A.M. Storms pack heavy rain and lightning. Lows fall to 63 degrees. Southwest Missouri sits at 60 degrees overnight. Highs reach 75 degrees, with storms possible after 4 P.M. The main event hits between 9 P.M. and 5 A.M. — and this one could pack a punch. We're talking tennis ball-sized hail, damaging winds up to 70 miles an hour. And a tornado or two. If you're out late tonight, stay weather aware. Saturday brings relief. Cooler, drier air moves in. Highs range from 54 to 70 degrees under mostly sunny skies. Sunday warms back to the upper 60s with clear conditions. Monday climbs into the mid-70s. Another storm system arrives Tuesday with rain likely and a chance of strong storms. Charge your phone and check your weather alerts before bed tonight. This one's worth watching. See you tomorrow.
