This Friday, December 5, 2025, at 7:00pm CST, I will be joined by Mike Elam for episode #76. August 29, 2025, The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation along with the Tennessee Attorney General held a press conference concluding that if Sheriff Bufford Pusser was still alive, that they would seek an indictment for Murder, in the death of Sheriff Pusser's wife Pauline Pusser in 1967. People are familiar with Sheriff Pusser from the movies "Walking Tall" which was a tale of the Sheriff of McNairy County, Tennessee. This moved millions, and created a legend in the state of Tennessee.
After examining the released reports, Mike is going to discuss the key elements to the TBI's investigation. Mike is no stranger to the case, is in large part the reason why the murder of Pauline Pusser was re-examined, after over 20 years of researching the case, interviewing witnesses, and actually turning over the Carbine Rifle that ultimately led to Pauline Pusser being exhumed for her first autopsy. Mike's resolve is amazing, despite the years of threats, insults, and personal sacrifice not only for him but for his family to find justice for Pauline. As Mike says "The Truth has no Agenda", and essentially his persistence for justice is why we are talking about this case today...
Mike has become a friend of mine, whom I have tremendous respect for his passion and determination with respect to seeking the truth... Someone I consider as one of the heroes in this story.
