We have gotten the gang back together after weeks away and we have started our dive into Revelation. Today we discuss why John was given this vision. Why was he chosen to give this testimony? Some believe it was because he never left Jesus during his crucifixion.

When we think about the end times we think about there being a thousand years of peace....but what does the Bible actually say about that?

In Revelation 20, the Bible states "Then I saw an angel coming down from heaven, holding in his hand the key to the bottomless pit[a] and a great chain. 2 And he seized the dragon, that ancient serpent, who is the devil and Satan, and bound him for a thousand years, 3 and threw him into the pit, and shut it and sealed it over him, so that he might not deceive the nations any longer, until the thousand years were ended. After that he must be released for a little while."

The Great Apostasy refers to a time when people start to fall away from the Christian faith. This has to happen to make way for the Antichrist to be able to take his place in end times prophecy.

2 Thessalonians 2:3

Let no one deceive you in any way, for that day will not come until the rebellion (the falling away) occurs and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the man doomed to destruction.

How does the current Iran vs. Israel situation potentially set up in the end times? Is it important?

In end time prophecy, Israel will be attacked by a coalition of nations lead by Gog of Magog. This is described in the book of Ezekiel.

Is this current attack the one that was foretold to us in the Bible? We don't know. Remember, in Matthew 24, he talks about wars and rumors of wars and how these have to happen. But see that you are not alarmed. So many times, the Bible tells us to not be afraid and to not be deceived.
