Todays guest, Rachel Kerry, is an award-winning filmmaker & theatre director who specializes in horror comedy, musical theatre, and interactive storytelling. Her work has been hailed as "unabashed extravagance" by Time Out, "triumphantly weird" by io9, and "uncompromising parody" by The Scotsman. She received her MFA in directing from Australia’s National Institute of Dramatic Art and graduated Cum Laude from the University of Southern California. And Just last summer, her film “Strangers on the A Train” took the prize for best slasher/stalker film at the Screaming Room Film Festival at Midsummer Scream.

I met Rachel last year at the Queer Fear film festival in Winston-Salem, North Carolina and we had a great conversation on stage about our filmmaking that I was excited to expand on for our listeners.

Luke St. Germaine was born in Worcester, MA, graduated from Boston University, then fell into a door to door sales cult and traveled around the country. From a young age he had been interested in weird tales and the supernatural, writing short stories and then screenplays- including one feature that was optioned. It was only when He Moved to Salem MA that he started to fully make his passion a reality. In 2019 Luke made his first short film for fun, leading him to making a series of short films under his The Thornfall Society banner. Luke quickly started meeting fellow indie filmmakers at film fests and helping on their projects, and falling in love with the indie horror scene.
