About this listen

Sharing my life experiences to both inform and (hopefully!) entertain others.

"Midlife" because 86 seems about right for when I'll eventually die.

"Mirth" because I think it's fun and healthy to laugh about things; how else do you think I'm gonna make it to 86?

And "Musings" because it's a fancy word for "thoughts" that starts with an M.

    Apr 27 2024

Numerous times, I have woken up from a night of drinking and didn't know how I got to where I woke up, where I was when I woke up (initially), and/or was missing an article of clothing. This episode is a regalement of the times I can remember.

Is it bad that there's more than one time? Hmmm ...

  • Episode 006: Coming together, for both happy and sad times (Gatherings)
    Apr 19 2024

A few tangents in this one, but I hope they balance out some of the more somber portions.

My wife asked the other day if we know anyone that might be getting married sometime soon.; we don't. A friend mentioned how friends of theirs were travelling to attend a wedding and two funerals. Another old friend reached out to me and mentioned how some people we knew back in the day are gone.

All this wedding and funeral talk got me thinking about how the context for coming together changes throughout our lives; from childhood, to young adulthood, to adulthood, and into your later years.
