Michael is a multi award-winning actor fromMuskeg Lake Cree Nation in Saskatchewan, Canada. He is an actor, dancer, scholar, writer and director. He was the first Indigenous member of the National Ballet Of Canada, the creator/director of the first Cree Language Opera, and recently starred in the first Indigenous-led US television series, Rutherford Falls. We talk about the intersection of curiosity and risk through the many stops on his journey and get granular about his portrayal of the Legendary Lakota Warrior, Sitting Bull, in the film Woman Walks Ahead.
