Mavericks Mini Series Part 1 - The Headliner

  • Summary

  • Welcome to a brand new episode of Qtr Time, the UK's ultimate netball podcast covering all things netball in the UK and beyond!

We're back with a special 3-part mini series with Saracens Mavericks for the 2024 Netball Super League season!

This is part one of the mini series all about the marquee fixture between Saracens Mavericks and Manchester Thunder at the iconic Wembley Arena on Sunday 7th April. As the first NSL franchise to ever play at this legendary venue, we chat with Saracens Mavericks captain Jodie Gibson, Head Coach Camilla Buchanan, and Head of Strategic Performance Tamsin Greenway all about the significance of such an event.

We also discuss their progress so far this season, the wider move towards professionalisation and the realities that clubs face, building a champion mindset, and the ambitions of the franchise to build even greater social and cultural significance.

Part 2 will be dropping in a few weeks, so keep your eyes (and ears!) peeled. Happy listening!
