The scientific approach to life has become routine to those of us living in the West. Imagination is lost, and attention is scarce. There is no more adventure to be had, people have become disillusioned with any meaningful spiritual pursuits. We are smarter than we’ve ever been, but more depressed than we’ve ever been before.

A Zombie is said to be a metaphor of a person who seems lifeless, apathetic, and completely unresponsive to their surroundings who have been revived, not by rational thought, but simply by feeding on human flesh. Could it be that we have approached the most profound ancient text known to mankind, like Zombies and revived to think like scientists. Therefore, we have become offspring’s of ‘The Age of Enlightenment,’ which has left us hopeless to assign meaning and value to our current reality.

Have you ever played the game…trust fall? Trust fall is an exercise or activity done for the purpose of building trust amongst teammates. Generally, one person stands up straight, closes their eyes and falls back; relying on the others to catch them before hitting the ground. Many companies do trust fall activities as a way to build connection amongst their employees, but today we’re gonna discuss how ‘faith toward God’ can feel like a trust fall.

Back in the late 90’s early 2000’s there was a popular dating game show entitled “Change of Heart.” The premise of the show involved dating couples who are matched up with other singles and then sent out on respective dates. During the taping, they discuss their relationship, then their new dating experience. At the end of show the couples have to decide if they want to "Stay Together", or if they've had a "Change of Heart". Well…today we’re going to see after all of God’s efforts to rescue us…do we truly have a Change of Heart?
