Zayan avait 11 ans quand il a commencé le basket en club. Avant ça, sa mère Imilie lui avait fait essayer plusieurs sports, en vain. Mais là, les choses sont différentes. Rapidement, le basket va devenir une obsession, jusqu'à ce que Zayan envisage sérieusement d'en faire son métier. Sa mère, au passé de sportive de haut niveau, l'accompagne dans ce rêve et fait tout pour qu'il y arrive. Mais aux portes de la majorité, Zayan et sa mère font face à un mur : celui du basket professionnel.
