  • Finding Place & Artistic Legacy: Parker Stewart's Savannah Exhibition Alongside Jack Leigh
    May 7 2026

Host Dee Daniels sits down at Savannah’s Ethan Allen showroom with photographer and printer Parker Stewart, a North Carolina native based in Savannah, ahead of the May 7 opening reception for “Jack Leigh and Parker Stewart: In Place” at Laney Contemporary (May 1–Aug 1).

Stewart discusses Jack Leigh’s Savannah legacy, including the commissioned “Bird Girl” cover for Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil, and explains how Leigh’s long-term documentation of the Lowcountry influences his own “photographing place” approach. Stewart shares his path from SCAD to running a Savannah printing studio, printing for major exhibitions and the Jack Leigh Estate since 2018, including the detailed proofing and matching process from film negatives.

They preview the two-floor, interwoven curation, highlight serendipitous paired images, and Stewart offers advice to keep making work and engage Savannah’s creative community.

  • FAN FAVORITE: History and Ghost Tour Guide Enocha Edenfield Walks Through Savannah Cemeteries
    Apr 23 2026

Welcome to a FAN FAVORITE EPISODE on the Made of Savannah podcast, host Dee Daniels sits down with Enocha Edenfield - a former NBC Savannah broadcast journalist who moved to Savannah in 2010 and began researching the origins of local ghost stories during the pandemic, which grew into a busy private tour business focused on accuracy and archival sources.

The episode explores Savannah’s cemeteries, noting about 80 in Chatham County and six city-owned sites (Colonial Park, Laurel Grove North and South, Bonaventure, Greenwich, and Evergreen), and explains why preservation matters, using Colonial Park’s long neglect and an estimated 7,000–9,000 graves as a cautionary example. Ika shares stories and landmarks from Bonaventure (Little Gracie, John Walz, Conrad Aiken, the Bird Girl relocation, and Johnny Mercer), discusses Greenwich’s plantation past and Midnight-related graves, clarifies hoodoo vs. voodoo, and outlines Laurel Grove’s segregated origins and notable sections.
