 It’s a curious passage. Sandwiched between two big parables about money, we find this little passage on how Jesus’ kingdom relates to God’s law, along with a single verse on divorce and remarriage. Jesus confronts the Pharisees’ habit of minimizing God’s law in order to justify themselves. But he’ll also confront us with his high view of marriage.
