We are here in the aftermath of the greatest win in the history of Nebraska basketball. The Huskers took down Troy 76-47 Thursday in Oklahoma City to earn their first-ever NCAA Tournament win. The labels are gone. Nebraska finally cleared the hurdle that has stood in front of this program since its first appearance in this event 40 years ago.

Pryce Sandfort scored 23 and set the tone offensively in the first half. Nebraska played lockdown defense. It overwhelmed Troy. On a day that has started off with several teams on upset watch, Fred Hoiberg’s team was never in danger. And some 15,000 Nebraska fans were there to see it happen. Let the party begin as the Huskers eye a matchup on Saturday with a berth in the Sweet 16 on the line.
